The Immigrants—1992


The Immigrants is a single haunting poem by Joe Napora about a photograph of his immigrant father’s family. This chapbook is printed with five images by Jim Lee based on the photo. Eleven printed page surfaces (including a lush, multi-color reduction woodcut fold-out) are hand sewn into paper covers measuring 5x9 inches. The hand-set letterpress type is Sabon and the paper is Rives Heavyweight, Niddegen and the Canterbury Rag handmade cover paper. It is issued in an edition of 90 copies. 1992
