In June of 2020, I retired from the Hartford Art School/University of Hartford after 38 years of teaching printmaking, drawing and book arts. The Hartford Art School has been my work home far longer than anywhere else, and I have invested a significant portion of my life to it. It has provided a stimulating and nurturing community in which to work and teach. I will truly miss our many daily interactions, shared experiences and of course working with our students. Watching our students find their artistic voices, learn and hone their skills and craft, and develop their critical thinking as visual artists, has been a joy and a constant surprise for me during these many years. The Hartford Art School Printmaking department is a very special place.

Hopefully, I will now be able to be in my own studio more consistently, making work with fewer interruptions and in a more concentrated way. We will see what that produces. I am really looking forward to this new chapter of my artistic life.
